A WWE star will challenge for the TNA Wrestling X-Division Championship at the upcoming Bound For Glory event.
TNA Wrestling’s two singles world titles are currently around the waists of WWE stars, with Trick Williams reigning as the TNA World Champion since NXT Battleground in May, and Kelani Jordan winning the vacant Knockouts World Championship at the September 26 Victory Road event.
Another NXT name will have the chance to bring another TNA championship back to WWE, with Je’Von Evans set to challenge for Leon Slater’s X-Division Championship.
This match was announced at Victory Road, with Director of Authority Santino Marella announcing Evans as Slater’s opponent for Bound for Glory on October 12.
Slater – who was recently endorsed by WWE’s AJ Styles – was in action at Victory Road, defeating Myron Reed to retain his X-Division gold.
Trick Williams is slated to defend his TNA World Championship against Mike Santana at Bound For Glory. Kelani Jordan will put the Knockouts World Championship on the line against Indi Hartwell at the same event.
