The October 23 episode of WWE SmackDown saw another major match announced for the Crown Jewel 2026 card with Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match.
This brings the Crown Jewel card to three matches total, but there’s certainly still space for more additions.
With no traditional championship matches set for November 7 as of yet, WWE should prioritise bolstering the show by putting a much-needed PLE spotlight on titles that often miss the cut.
Here are four title matches that could be added to WWE Crown Jewel 2026:
WWE Intercontinental Championship – Chad Gable (c) vs. Ethan Page
WWE have knocked it out of the park with Chad Gable’s Intercontinental Championship run thus far.
Week after week we have seen Gable do what he does best: wrestle; helping re-establish the IC Title as the workhorse prize in WWE. The time Gable has spent handing out title matches to the deserving babyface stars of Raw appears to be over however, as “All Ego” Ethan Page has taken it upon himself to forcefully get the attention of the IC Champion.
By attacking Gable on this past Monday’s Raw, we should see Page jump the queue and get the one-on-one title match he feels he has earned at Crown Jewel.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships – Michin & B-Fab (c) vs. Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid)
For the second time in two weeks, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles changed hands on SmackDown when Michin & B-Fab dethroned Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley for the gold on Friday (October 23).
The title change once again shakes up the women’s tag scene, but also potentially sets up what could be a culmination of the past few weeks’ events in the form of a three-way championship match in Riyadh on November 7.
With Fatal Influence and now Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley now chasing Jade Cargill’s “Baddies”, WWE should look at determining which team is definitively the best on SmackDown right now with a three-way for the gold.
WWE Tag Team Championships – MFT (Tama & Talla Tonga) vs. Bakusai (Shinsuke Nakamura & Kyoki)
Another situation that needs resolved on SmackDown is the WWE Tag Team Championships, and the ongoing feud between the reigning champions The MFTs and Bakusai.
The October 23 SmackDown advertised a match between the two sides, but the action never actually made it into the ring, as the two teams instead brawled on the entrance ramp while WWE officials attempted to separate them.
While it’s not the hottest rivalry by any means, the WWE Tag Team Titles haven’t been defended on a PLE since Clash in Paris in August 2025, so WWE should give The MFTs and Bakusai a chance to spotlight the belts on a bigger stage than SmackDown.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship – Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs. IYO SKY
While the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title has been defended on several PLEs this year, it has felt as if its importance has taken a dip in the latter half of the year.
This is mostly due to Raquel Rodriguez not having many storylines or rivals since winning the belt from Sol Ruca back in July, but WWE appears to be in the process of fixing that right now with IYO SKY.
“The Genius of the Sky” has been a thorn in Rodriguez and The Judgment Day’s side lately and appears to be in prime position to potentially win her first Women’s IC Title at Crown Jewel.
