WWE NXT star Tyson Dupont has revealed that he’s undergoing hip surgery today, sharing a video from hospital.
Dupont has been in a tag team with Tyriek Igwe for the past few years, and they were members of Wes Lee’s group the High Ryze before Lee was released last year.
Since then, Dupont and Igwe have remained a team but have rarely appeared on NXT TV.
In his video posted on social media today, Dupont said:
“Today’s the day. Finally getting hip surgery. I’ve been dealing with some pain in my hip for a very long time, since about July of last year.
“Pushed through it to the best I could to make sure I didn’t miss any opportunities, but God’s timing – when it’s time, it’s time.
“So today we’re taking care of that. Minor setback for a major comeback. The Brick will be back in no time.
“But until then, best believe, the grind continues. We’re still chasing greatness because the best is always yet to come.”

WWE NXT Tag Team Division Update
The tag team division in WWE NXT has been missing Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe for a few months now.
After Fraxiom were called up to the main roster last year, it has seemed like there has been less emphasis on the tag team scene and fewer teams featured prominently.
However, with the arrival of the Vanity Project, that has already changed to a degree, and while there are still a lack of duos in general things seem to be getting back on the right track.
