WWE Survivor Series: WarGames takes place on November 28 and could mark the perfect moment for Naomi to make her return.
Last seen on the August 18 episode of WWE Raw last year, Naomi vacated the Women’s World Champion that she won at SummerSlam due to her real-life pregnancy.
With more than a year having passed since Naomi was last seen, a return is likely to be on the cards and Survivor Series: WarGames could be that moment:
Family ties
Married to Jimmy Uso, Naomi is tied to The Bloodline through her connection to the Anoaʻi family.
With The Bloodline feuding with The 946, Roman Reigns, The Usos and Solo Sikoa have found themselves targeted by a threat the likes of which they have never faced in WWE, with Jaida Parker recently added to the mix.
Proceed with Caution
It would be an easy win to have Naomi return and face Jaida Parker for a first match back, but that’s something to save for another day.
Where Parker’s main roster debut saw her revealed after a member of The 946 after mowing down Jacob Fatu with her car, Naomi should have a return that has a similar impact.
WarGames presents that opportunity, assuming WWE Survivor Series delivers The Bloodline vs. The 946. Having Parker interfere, aggressively attacking Jimmy Uso, brandishing a weapon that could scar the man for life, only for Naomi to make her return, rushing to the defense of her real-life husband, levelling Parker and reminding her that The 946 aren’t the only danger would be quite the moment.
In WarGames, Parker, as an outside aggressor, would be a good use for the star, with The 946 very much aware that The Bloodline are unlikely to go after her.
Reclaiming the Championship
Having vacated the Women’s World Championship, that’s the title that Naomi will no doubt want to reclaim, with Liv Morgan currently in her fourth reign.
Morgan is supremely confident in her standing as champion, and a challenge from Naomi may upset her equilibrium. With the Women’s World Championship likely to be defended at Survivor Series: WarGames, the following night’s Raw would be the opportunity for Naomi to make her intentions clear.
The evolution of Naomi
Long gone are the days of The Funkadactyls, with Naomi’s journey seeing her part ways with WWE in early 2023, having walked out of the company alongside Sasha Banks.
For Banks, she has gone on to reinvent herself as Mercedes Mone in AEW, while Naomi shifted to Impact Wrestling, appearing as Trinity and becoming Knockouts World Champion.
Her return at the 2024 Royal Rumble saw a reinvigorated WWE star, with her ‘Proceed with Caution’ incarnation elevating her even further. Jade Cargill’s attacker, the character shift saw Naomi become a more aggressive competitor, with only a taste of what she is capable of delivering before she went on hiatus.
Bringing that aggression, tying it to her real life family, while retaining her focus on the Women’s World Championship could lead to a standout year ahead for Naomi.
