A potential spoiler for a WWE Crown Jewel 2026 match announcement has emerged, with Finn Balor seemingly pulled from an appearance in the UK on the same night as the Saudi Arabia PLE.

WWE’s decision to press forward with plans to host Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 7 has been a controversial one, with safety fears for those making the trip after the recent bombings of King Khalid International Airport.

While Crown Jewel is “still set” for Riyadh according to TKO President Ari Emanuel, we had confirmation of two stars that would not be making the trip to Saudi Arabia when Bayley and Finn Balor were announced to be appearing at the Zuffa Boxing 12 event in London, England on November 7.

However, it turns out that one of those two may potentially be heading for Riyadh after all, as Balor has seemingly been pulled from his appearance at the Copper Box Arena in London.

The WWE UK Twitter page has now announced that Drew McIntyre will be appearing alongside Bayley at Zuffa Boxing 12, with Balor also no longer featured in advertisements for the show on Zuffa Boxing’s Instagram page.

The tweet didn’t outright mention that Balor had been pulled or give an explanation of why, but it does appear as if he will no longer be making the trip to London.

It’s worth mentioning that this doesn’t guarantee Balor will be appearing at Crown Jewel – there could be other reasons for him not appearing at Zuffa Boxing 12 – but it does at least open up the possibility for Balor to be booked at Crown Jewel.

If Finn Balor is set for the Crown Jewel card, what will he be doing?

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 currently has three matches set in stone for the card: Sami Zayn vs. Roman Reigns, Chelsea Green vs. Liv Morgan and the recently announced Last Man Standing match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.

With WWE PLEs often featuring four to six bouts, there would certainly be room for Finn Balor to compete, but what is it he will likely be doing on the show?

The inaugural WWE Universal Champion has been chasing the Undisputed WWE Title since moving to SmackDown, but with Zayn busy with Trick Williams and Roman Reigns, Balor has instead been embroiled in a feud with GUNTHER.

“The Ring General” has also had his sights set on SmackDown’s top prize – which is how he and Balor first butted heads – but has found himself distracted by Danhausen in recent weeks.

GUNTHER has promised a “special night for a very special boy” on the October 30 SmackDown – which is being hosted by the “Very Nice, Very Evil” star – suggesting that GUNTHER may have Danhausen in his sights once again.

Much like he did two weeks ago on SmackDown, Balor may foil whatever plans GUNTHER has for Danhausen when we get to next Friday’s show, which could then lead to the announcement of a one-on-one match between Balor and GUNTHER at Crown Jewel.
