Since becoming a prominent name on NXT TV, Grey has caught the attention of many fans and pundits who are touting her as a future major star of the women’s division.

Tonight at WWE Stand & Deliver, former Evolve Women’s Champion Grey has an NXT Women’s Title shot against current champion Jacy Jayne and Lola Vice in a three-way match.

In a pre-show interview, Grey commented on why she’ll be the one walking out of St Louis with the championship.

She said:

“I’m the most well-rounded wrestler in this match. I can do it all. I’ll out-think, I’ll out-wrestle and out-last Lola and Jacy.

“And when it’s all said and done, I’ll prove that Kendal Grey isn’t just the future – she’s the now.”

Lola Vice Addresses Transition From MMA To WWE NXT

Lola Vice – current AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion with Mr Iguana –  was also in the same interview and discussed her transition from MMA to WWE and pro-wrestling, saying:

“If MMA taught me anything, it’s how to finish a fight. I don’t hesitate, I don’t second guess. When I see an opportunity, I take it, and I end it.

“Which is what Lola Vice brings to the table – passion, aggression and the ability to knock any woman out at any moment… and then dance on them.”

Is Kendal Grey WWE’s Next Top Star

From everything we’ve seen so far, all the signs are there that Kendal Grey could go on to be a major player in the WWE women’s division.

Her biggest strength right now is undeniably her in-ring ability, especially for level of pro-wrestling experience.

The issue becomes that while in-ring ability is important, it’s not the only – or even most important – part of the recipe of WWE pushing you as a top star.

However, with more time in NXT, Grey should develop into the complete package ready to become a future WWE Women’s Champion and/or Women’s World Champion.
