Bully Ray has declared that Kendal Grey vs. Lola Vice on NXT was ‘far superior’ to anything he’s seen on the main roster in WWE, or AEW & TNA.
Taking place on the March 31 NXT Roadblock episode, Lola Vice faced Kendal Grey to determine the #1 contender for Jacy Jayne’s Women’s Championship.
The match, which has implications for NXT Stand & Deliver on April 4, ended with a draw, with no #1 contender established.
Despite the result, Bully Ray declared the match was among the best women’s matches he has seen this year on a recent episode of Busted Open, saying:
“Kendal and Lola had one hell of a professional wrestling match. That was one of the best women’s matches I’ve seen so far this year, if not the best. Far superior to anything that I’ve seen on the main roster. Far superior to anything I’ve seen in AEW, in TNA, in Ring of Honor, anywhere.
“My God, did those ladies bring it. Amazing athleticism, great mat wrestling transitions, smooth, fluid, good false finishes, quality main event.
“Kendal Grey, the future of the WWE women’s division. Lola Vice stepped up to the plate tonight. Lola’s got an amazing background, but Kendal with that amateur wrestling ability, I think Lola had to step up, and she did. They had me hooked.

Commenting on the finish, Bully Ray continued:
“There’s definitely a discrepancy with the finish. That one, two, three and the tap happened at the exact same moment, which leads me to believe we’re heading to a three-way dance at Stand & Deliver.
“Jacy Jayne, Lola Vice, Kendal Grey. I don’t love three-way dances, but with those three women, I’ll take it.”

There is now some uncertainty surrounding NXT Women’s Championship plans for Stand & Deliver, with some predicting that the title match will now be a three-way, and others pitching for a Grey vs Vice rematch to take place earlier in the show, with the winner pulling double duty.
NXT Stand & Deliver takes place this Saturday, with the card for the upcoming Premium Live Event right here.
NXT Stand & Deliver Breaks A WWE Tradition
With previous iterations of NXT Stand & Deliver attached to WrestleMania week, this year’s edition takes place earlier in April, with Robert Stone, the newly installed general manager, reflecting on that decision.
This year’s event marks the sixth annual Stand & Deliver, with only night one of the very first having an all-female main event, as Io Shirai (now IYO SKY) losing the NXT Women’s Championship to Raquel Rodriguez on the only two-night edition.
A six-match main show card, all but one is set to have a championship on the line, in the form of Sol Ruca vs. Zaria as a singles match between the former friends.
