A WWE Hall of Famer has opened up on their career in both WWE and TNA, believing they had a better career in TNA.
When Kurt Angle left WWE in 2006, he became one of the first major names to make the jump over from WWE to TNA Wrestling.
Kurt would go on to spend 11 years as part of the TNA roster before ultimately returning to WWE in 2017, where he wrestled many of the company’s top stars.
Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Kurt opened up on his TNA career, and believing he had a better career in TNA than in WWE.
He said:
“I had a better career too, I had better matches, and that’s really hard to say because I had some really great ones in WWE, but I came into my own, when you’re a wrestler you don’t really come into your own until 6 or 7 years into the business, and that’s right when I quit WWE and went to TNA.
“I was having some knock down drag out matches with AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Bobby Roode, James Storm, a lot of great talent, Motor City Machine Guns, Jay Lethal, just a lot of great talent down there to work with.
“When I left WWE, I was salivating at the mouth because I saw so much talent in TNA that was untapped, that I was like I can’t wait to get down there, and like I said before I think I had a better career there, so I do take pride in that.
“Once I went to TNA, I felt a whole slew followed me; Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, you name it they were coming to TNA from WWE, so we had a lot of good years with a lot of great talent, and I was just happy about my career in TNA.”
