A WWE Hall of Famer has announced he’ll be coaching at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida this coming week.
In addition to the full-time coaches that the PC, it isn’t rare for WWE to bring in legends and other former stars in temporary guest coaching roles.
Heading to the PC this week in that capacity will be WWE Hall of Famer and tag team legend Ricky Morton.
He posted:
Orlando, Florida for the week! Fortunate to be able to teach, train, & give back. Catch ya soon, PC.
Morton is one half of the legendary Rock ‘n’ Roll Express tag team alongside Robert Gibson, with them being inducted into the 2017 class of the WWE Hall of Fame by Jim Cornette.
He has coached at the Performance Center in the past, with WWE previously sharing a video years ago of him training with tag teams like the Street Profits, TM-61, the Ealy Brothers and Heavy Machinery.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express have made a few appearances in AEW over the years, usual being attacked by heel teams like the Death Riders and FTR.
WWE Performance Center Top Tag Team Prospects
As a tag team legend, Ricky Morton will likely have his eyes on some of the current tag teams at the WWE Performance Center and in NXT.
The current NXT Tag Team Champions are Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes of Vanity Project, who, along with Jackson Drake, WWE is clearly getting behind as potential future stars.
Other teams in the mix in NXT include Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of Out The Mud (OTM), who have had a few matches on Main Event as of late, suggesting there are eyes on them for a possible main roster call-up.
Other prominently featured duos at the moment include The Culling’s Niko Vance and Shawn Spears, the latter of whom is also a PC coach in addition to being an active member of the roster, as well as former NXT Tag Team Champions Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, and the DarkState duo of Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin.
