A WWE star has accused a champion of cheating following a recent rematch that ended with their failure to recapture the title.
The February 24 episode of NXT saw Myles Borne defeat Ethan Page to become the North American Champion.
With last night’s episode of NXT seeing a rematch for the championship, it would be Borne who would retain.
Borne would score a pinfall victory over Page, albeit with a referee distraction and a shoe playing their part in proceedings.
Responding to the way that the rematch ended, Page would take to Twitter to call out Borne, posting:
“He literally cheated, discarded the evidence, and laughed about it.
“What a GREAT champion!”
The post was accompanied by a quartet of images, showing Borne with the offending article, casting it aside after the damage was done.
Borne’s reign has also seen the return of the original design for the North American Championship, which was redesigned with a Canadian theme for Page.
The NXT star is in a relationship with WWE Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, who commented on her boyfriend’s championship win, declaring she was proud of the star.
