WWE Commentary Team Changes Announced

Changes have been made to the WWE commentary teams, as confirmed during tonight’s September 5 episode of SmackDown.

College football season kicked off a week ago, which meant Joe Tessitore was unavailable to call SmackDown in Lyon, France ahead of Clash In Paris.

Michael Cole filled in alongside Tessitore’s usual partner Wade Barrett last week, and it appears Tessitore will be gone for a little while longer.

Calling SmackDown tonight in Chicago are Cole and his recent Raw partner Corey Graves, with Cole noting that they will be the SmackDown team for the next couple of months.

Graves has been calling NXT alongside Vic Joseph and Booker T since the start of the year – aside from the first couple of weeks when he wasn’t happy about being moved to NXT.

However, after Pat McAfee took a break following Money in the Bank, Graves returned to the main roster on Raw, while still calling NXT, although he now hasn’t been at NXT for the past two weeks.

No announcement has been made regarding the WWE Raw team going forward now that Cole and Graves are officially the new SmackDown team. This past Monday’s team for Raw in Paris, France was Cole and Barrett.

We’ll keep you posted with any further updates on the changes.
