Two WWE stars have seemingly departed the company after being moved to the alumni page on the official website.
At the beginning of NXT 2.0, two of the marquee names on the brand were Brutus and Julius Creed, with the Creed Brothers going on to become a success story of early NXT 2.0, including a victory in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and a reign as NXT Tag Team Champions.
The pair were called up to the main roster in November 2023 alongside Ivy Nile, where they would go on to eventually align with Chad Gable in American Made.
After Gable’s shift into El Grande Americano and later injury, the Creeds spent most of their time competing on WWE Main Event, with them briefly returning to Raw alongside Gable as part of the El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano angle, but were not seen on Raw since.
The Creeds recently made their return to the NXT brand, where they were part of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, losing to Hank Walker and Tank Ledger in the semi-final.
The Creed Brothers moved to WWE alumni page
However, it seems as though Brutus and Julius Creed’s time in WWE has come to an end, as they were moved to the alumni section of WWE’s official website today, signifying their departure from the company.
Julius and Brutus were the only names removed, with Ivy Nile still remaining listed on the roster page, so it seems as though it was a case of their contracts expiring instead of being part of a wave of releases.
Fightful Select has since confirmed that the pair have left WWE at the expiration of their contracts.
The latest names failed by TKO’s WWE
Over the past two years, WWE has found itself from being the safe haven for NXT talent under Paul Levesque, to being just as egregious with failing it’s young talent as the Vince McMahon regime was.
In just under two years, WWE has lost names such as Ilja Dragunov, Sheamus, the New Day, Kairi Sane, Dakota Kai, Tommaso Ciampa and the Motor City Machine Guns, with other names currently on the roster that are far from being used to their full potential.
The Creed Brothers in NXT had the hype to be WWE’s next great tag team, but they are simply the latest in a growing list of names that were not booked up to par.
