A Money In The Bank cash in and major title change took place at tonight’s WWE Crown Jewel event in Riyadh.
The show was headlined by the two Crown Jewel Championship matches, with the men’s pitting Roman Reigns against Sami Zayn, while the women’s saw Liv Morgan face off against Chelsea Green.
The story heading into the match was to see Chelsea Green prove herself after she was called a fluke champion since winning the title at SummerSlam.
Chelsea Green defeats Liv Morgan at WWE Crown Jewel
During the match, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez would appear at ringside to assist Liv, before Liv sent the two of them to the back, saying that she had it covered because it’s ‘only’ Chelsea.
This would end up biting Liv, as she was then quickly rolled up by Chelsea, with Chelsea picking up the win to win the match and the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
Tiffany Stratton cashes in Money In The Bank
Following the match, Triple H would present Chelsea with the Crown Jewel Championship and ring, with Chelsea then thanking the fans and celebrating beating the ‘greatest Women’s Champion of all time’, before Liv would spring to life and jump her.
Tiffany Stratton then ran out to make the save for Chelsea, with the Judgment Day once again pulling Liv to safety as Tiffany attempted the cash in on her, only for Tiffany to hit Chelsea with the briefcase and cash in her briefcase on Chelsea instead.
Tiffany would then hit Chelsea with the PME, pinning her to win the WWE Women’s Championship, and also seemingly the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship, as Tiffany would take that title from Chelsea and hold both up to celebrate.
The future of the women’s division and return of Rhea Ripley
With Tiffany turning heel and winning the title, the WWE Women’s Championship now rests on the shoulder of a heel, seemingly just in time for the return of Rhea Ripley from injury.
Rhea was forced to relinquish the WWE Women’s Championship in the Summer after suffering an injury at WWE Clash In Italy, though she is being advertised for the upcoming Wrestlepalooza weekend in Perth, Australia next month.
All roads seemingly lead to Rhea looking to regain her title when she returns, and Tiffany will likely be the target.
