At WWE Crown Jewel, the World Tag Team Championship changed hands, when Bron Breakker and Austin Theory faced off against Je’von Evans and Penta.
Je’von and Penta were able to pick up the win after an appearance from Oba Femi, who evened the odds.
With the World Tag Team Championship now out of the grasp of the Vision, the company will hopefully start to feature the titles more often on Raw.
Here are some potential next champions following Penta & Je’von Evans.
OTM
After arriving on the main roster as members of the 946, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of OTM have instantly become one of the only true tag teams in the division right now.
The 946 are currently locked into their rivalry with the Bloodline, which will come to a head inside War Games at Survivor Series, but after that, the group should turn it’s attention towards acquiring championship gold.
OTM are the one true heel tag team on Raw right now, so they would have to be considered the frontrunners to be the next champions.
Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh
The Judgment Day themselves are coming off a recent series of matches with Penta and Je’von, with JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio now the only male members of the group.
History has taught us two things about WWE: championships vanish from television the second they enter the Judgment Day, and the World Tag Team Championship is not considered a priority on WWE television.
That being said, Triple H loves the group, so it’s hard to rule out them getting another tag title run in the future.
Big Cass & Ethan Page
On this week’s WWE Raw show, Ethan Page captured his first main roster championship when he defeated Chad Gable to become Intercontinental Champion.
Page recently formed an alliance on the show with Big Cass, and with him also having history of his own with both Je’von Evans and Penta, a natural showdown between the two teams would make sense, and Big Cass also has his own issues with Je’von Evans.
Page and Cass’ alliance could lead to the duo becoming the next World Tag Team Champions, and would also plant the seeds for a future match between Page and Je’von Evans, with Evans capturing the Intercontinental Championship from Page.
