There has been a title change during tonight’s February 27 edition of WWE SmackDown at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Tonight’s show comes one night before tomorrow’s Elimination Chamber event in Chicago, Illinois and featured a title change that may have an effect on the Chamber.
Nia Jax and Lash Legend, now collectively known as The Irresistible Forces, are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after defeating Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY tonight.
Ripley and SKY had been champions since January 5 when they won the title from the Kabuki Warriors.
The reason this title change may have an effect on WWE Elimination Chamber is because Ripley is a participant in tomorrow’s women’s Chamber match.
The winner of the match will go on to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42.
The other participants in the Chamber are Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Kiana James, Raquel Rodriguez and Tiffany Stratton.
In other Elimination Chamber news, there was a change to the men’s Chamber match tonight as Jey Uso has been replaced by the winner of Jacob Fatu vs Logan Paul, which ended up being Paul.
