The Rock has announced that he will be returning to WWE television on tomorrow night’s SmackDown (February 21).
One of the burning questions on the Road to WrestleMania 41 has been in regards to The Rock’s status for the Show of Shows, with fans wondering whether The Final Boss will return between now and April 19-20.
Now, we have our answer as in an unexpected announcement The Rock took to social media to confirm that he will be making an appearance on the February 21 episode of WWE SmackDown in New Orleans, LA.
Taking to Twitter, The Rock confirmed the return of The Final Boss writing:

The Rock last appeared on WWE TV at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 7, having also appeared on the historic debut episode of WWE Raw on Netflix the night prior.
The Rock’s actions on that show left fans believing that we likely wouldn’t see him play a role in WrestleMania 41, as he embraced former rival Cody Rhodes and helped crown Roman Reigns the new Undisputed Tribal Chief.
The latest reports suggested that The Rock wasn’t planned to compete at WrestleMania 41, but it was repeatedly noted that plans could change depending on his whim.
We will provide further updates on The Rock’s status for WrestleMania and his appearance on SmackDown as more information becomes available.
