Earlier today, it was reported Bayley will be out for several months with a serious injury. As a result, this has left Bianca Belair without an opponent for next week’s WWE SmackDown
WWE has promoted a segment on tonight’s SmackDown to reveal her opponent. PWInsider is now reporting that Carmella will be in a segment with Belair tonight.
According to the report, this doesn’t necessarily mean she will be the opponent on next week’s show, but definitely will be getting a future match with the champion.
Given the fact there are very few women on the full-time SmackDown roster, it would seem Carmella is likely to be the replacement.
