Duke Hanson, formerly known as Duke Hudson, has shared his thoughts on former WWE Chase U teammate Thea Hail.
Hail is now the only Chase U member still in WWE, with Duke Hudson, Andre Chase, Riley Osborne and Ridge Holland all now gone from the company.
Hail hasn’t been featured on TV much at all since the break-up of Chase U in late 2024, aside from her North American Championship win a few months ago that wasn’t even supposed to happen.
On the latest episode of Between Two Jobs, Hanson praised Hail and spoke about how he hopes she gets the opportunities she deserves rather than WWE holding back because of how young she is.
He said:
“Dealing with Thea was an experience in its own right. I saw a quote recently that’s like, ‘You don’t feel 30 until you are 30 and you’re talking to someone that’s 22, and suddenly you feel 45.’ Speaking to Thea made me feel older than I was.
“She’s very talented. She’s very enthusiastic. She’s very passionate. She has some flaws – we all do. But I think she deserves some flowers and deserves an opportunity. I hope she gets it.
“A lot of our time together is you (Andre Chase) being optimistic, ‘I’m hoping this pays off and we get our opportunity because of the things we’ve accomplished,’ and I’m going like, ‘Nah, they’re telling us what they think of us.’ And I’m not trying to be Debbie Downer, I’m just going off of what they’re giving us.
“It’s the same with Thea. She was in the group before me, but now post-Chase U, post-Duke, I expect her to get an opportunity that she deserves, and I just don’t think she’s gotten it yet.
“They have used that with her so many times – ‘You’re young, you’ll get your opportunity.’ What about Roxanne? What about these other young people that you ARE giving the opportunities to? You choose who to give it to and not to. Thea does deserve an opportunity.
“Think about the amount of times we went into the NXT Arena or whatever you wanna call it – Thea was always the one. She was special. We were there being a part of the Thea Hail Show.
“I remember when Zaria just started at the PC and she was doing a PC Live against Thea and she dropped her a little awkwardly, and I yelled out, ‘Don’t hurt my money!’ Because we need Thea and I was scared of her getting hurt.”
