Charlotte Flair has addressed her off-script segment with Tiffany Stratton on WWE SmackDown, reflecting on ‘not true’ comments she made.
Last week’s SmackDown show saw a rather newsworthy segment between Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton, which ended up going off the rails towards the end.
Tiffany and Charlotte reportedly went off-script at the end of their segment, with Tiffany’s comments about Charlotte’s three divorces being unscripted, as well as Charlotte’s response about Ludwig Kaiser being in her DMs.
Tiffany has since commented on the segment, which you can see here, but Charlotte Flair took to Twitter today to comment on the segment for the first time.
Taking to Twitter, Charlotte reflected on ‘not true’ comments that her character said on-air after being ‘blindsided’ on live television.
She said:
After being blindsided by my personal trauma on live television, my character said something on-air that was not true, and I’d like to take this opportunity to clear the air.
I should have NEVER called the Chicago fans smart. I sincerely apologize.
Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Women’s Championship match is seemingly set to take place on night one of WrestleMania 41 next Saturday.
