A major update has emerged on plans for Brock Lesnar leading up to WWE WrestleMania 42 and at the event itself.
Making his first appearance since the January 31 Royal Rumble event, Lesnar was on tonight’s Raw accompanied by Paul Heyman.
Heyman officially announced that Brock Lesnar will have a match at WrestleMania 42 in just under two months’ time, but his opponent is not yet confirmed.
Heyman said that anyone who “has the balls” to step up to answer Lesnar’s open challenge should make themselves known over the next few weeks when Lesnar appears on WWE Raw.
Brock Lesnar’s upcoming schedule was then show on screen and is as follows:
Tonight – Atlanta
March 16 – San Antonio
March 23 – Boston
March 30 – New York City
April 6 – Houston
April 13 – Sacramento
As far as potential opponents, there was no clear reference made tonight as to who it might be.
When Heyman proposed the open challenge, the response from the crowd was chants for Oba Femi, so that seems to be the sentiment right now – he is currently building to a match with Rusev, but it’s not clear whether that will be at Mania or sooner.
The other leading possibilities would seem to be LA Knight or Cody Rhodes as they eliminated Lesnar from the Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins if he returns in time and doesn’t face Bron Breakker, and similarly Breakker if he’s back and doesn’t end up in a match with Rollins.
