TNA Wrestling’s Matt Hardy Teases One More Match Against New AEW Tag Team Champions Adam Copeland & Christian Cage: ‘Not Sure Where, Not Sure When’

TNA Wrestling’s Matt Hardy has teased a match with his former WWE rivals Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, following their AEW World Tag Team Championship win.

The May 24 Double or Nothing pay-per-view saw Copeland and Cage – fka Edge & Christian in WWE – challenge for FTR’s AEW World Tag Team Championship in a match where if they lost, they would’ve had to disband as a tag-team.

With Adam Copeland and Christian Cage ultimately leaving Queens, New York as the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Matt Hardy has now taken to Twitter with a message for his former rivals.

Congratulating the duo, and teasing one more Hardys vs Copeland & Cage match, Matt Hardy wrote:

Congrats to (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland) on becoming AEW Tag Team Champs. Great stuff!

Not sure where, not sure when.. But we’ve got ONE more night of magic left in us.

The two teams have faced off on a number of occasions, most notably as part of the TLC matches also featuring the Dudley Boyz at SummerSlam 2000, and WrestleMania 17 respectively.

Matt and Jeff Hardy notably defended the TNA World Tag Team Championship against Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) and Devon (D-Von Dudley) at Bound For Glory 2025, with the latter team handing their boots to the former following the match.

A Hardy Boyz vs Edge & Christian match may be tricky to make, given TNA’s connection with WWE, with TNA and NXT announcing an official multi-year partnership in early 2025.

It would be an interesting match to watch play out, with all four men in the latter stages of their careers.
