The real reason for a change to the WWE WrestleMania 42 plans has been revealed, following a PLE announcement.

It was recently reported that NXT Stand & Deliver would take place on April 4, separate from WWE WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas.

With the NXT Premium Live Event not connected to WrestleMania this year, details of why the plans changed have now been revealed.

According to PWInsider, the decision was made due to the timing of holding a show on the West Coast and the scheduling involved, with Mike Johnson:

“WWE moved NXT from Las Vegas and off Wrestlemania 42 weekend as the timing of holding the show on the West Coast the last few times Mania has been in Los Angeles and Las Vegas worked against the company’s overall scheduling for the biggest week of their year, PWInsider.com has been told by sources.”

The report notes that NXT Stand & Deliver had been internally planned to be in Las Vegas over WrestleMania 42 weekend.

The report goes on to note that Stand & Deliver would have “a stronger chance of standing alone” instead of being lost in the mix of WrestleMania week.

While WWE has a busy week scheduled for WrestleMania 42, it is also noted that there is no NXT event scheduled to take place in Las Vegas.

The report states that PWInsider “were also cautioned that the Stand and Deliver move from Mania week should not considered a permanent move”, and that it would be a year-by-year decision as to when to hold the NXT PLE.

With next year’s WrestleMania 43 taking place in Saudi Arabia, an update has emerged on backstage plans for next year’s WWE Premium Live Event.
