An update has emerged on two former WWE stars who had teased retirement ahead of TNA Wrestling’s Slammiversary 2025 event.
Following the announcement that Matt and Jeff Hardy would challenge for the TNA Tag Team Championship in a four-way ladder match at the July 20 show, the duo hinted that this match could’ve been their last.
In late-June, Matt Hardy noted that if he and Jeff didn’t walk out of Slammiversary as the new champions, “maybe it’s time for the Hardys to call it a career.”
The Hardy Boyz don’t appear to be hanging their boots up just yet, with the duo ultimately victorious on Sunday night.
Matt and Jeff defeated Myron Reed & Zachary Wentz, AJ Francis & KC Navarro and champions Nic & Ryan Nemeth to win the TNA Tag Team Championship for the fourth time.
Following the match, Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) challenged the Hardys on behalf of Team 3D for “one last great tag team match” at Bound For Glory.
TNA Wrestling’s Bound For Glory event will take place on October 12, emanating from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
