A Hall of Famer has praised TNA Wrestling’s Leon Slater, following his recent WWE US Championship match.
After stating that he wanted to face the best in the UK, Carmelo Hayes’ US Championship open challenge was answered by TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater on the January 16 SmackDown episode.
Hayes was ultimately victorious, pinning Slater in a match which has received a lot of praise online.
Mark Henry has now added to the celebrations, reacting to this match on Busted Open.
Hyping up Slater following his WWE SmackDown debut, Henry said:
“He oozes talent and confidence. As you saw in the corner, when Carmelo was on the floor and (Leon) was in the ring, he jumped over the turnbuckle to the floor.
“Guys, the top of the turnbuckle is 11 feet. He fell from the ring to the floor, 11 feet, and landed on Carmelo Hayes.
