The backstage reaction to Jordynne Grace’s 2024 WWE Royal Rumble entry has now been revealed courtesy of a new report.
In what was perhaps the biggest surprise of the weekend, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made her WWE debut in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, entering at number five and lasting over 19 minutes.
The appearance reportedly came about after WWE reached out to numerous companies regarding surprise Rumble entrants, with TNA signing off on Grace appearing.
Now in a new update from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, the reaction to Grace’s appearance has now been revealed.
According to the report Grace “blew a lot of people in WWE away” with her impressive performance, however as of yet there is no word on whether it will lead to more collaborations between the two companies or any future crossover’s for Grace.
The report reveals that the appearance was Triple H’s idea and was a way to surprise everyone with an “outside the box idea”.
Grace was the only individual from TNA in attendance for the Rumble however, with the company’s President Scott D’Amore busy attending the Chris Jericho cruise.
TNA official and former WWE star Tommy Dreamer was in Florida for SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, however, did not make an appearance at the Rumble.
Despite there being no official word on any future WWE/TNA relationship, Grace has teased a potentially massive cross-company match involving a top WWE star.
