WWE Star Sends Message To Champion After NXT Deadline 2025 Win

A WWE star has sent a clear message to a current champion after a big win at NXT Deadline 2025.

In the first of two Iron Survivor Challenge Matches on the night, Kendal Grey pulled off an upset win to earn herself a shot at Jacy Jayne’s NXT Women’s Championship.

Defeating Jordynne Grace, Kelani Jordan, Lola Vice and Sol Ruca in dramatic fashion, Grey earned the match-winning fall in the dying seconds by pinning Lola Vice following the Shades of Grey.

In post-match footage captured by WWE’s cameras and posted to Twitter (see below), Grey sent a clear message to Jayne as she walked back through the curtain.

Grey said:

“Jacy Jayne, I’m coming after you.”

Jayne was highly dismissive of the current WWE Evolve Women’s Champion in her response to this warning, writing the following on Twitter accompanied by 30 laughing face emojis:

Walk before you run sweetie

As is tradition with the winners of Iron Survivor Challenge, Grey will get her title opportunity against Jayne at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil on Tuesday, January 6.

Much like Grey’s last-gasp win in the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge, Je’Von Evans earned a win in the men’s match by rolling up Myles Borne – setting up a NXT Championship match with newly crowned champion Oba Femi at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil.
