AEW stars to join The Cut: Four names who will become the members of the newest faction in the company

On the October 21 edition of AEW Dynamite, The Bang Bang Gang and The Dogs came together to assault The Death Riders and The Conglomeration.

After being enemies for years, Jay White and David Finlay have joined forces and have become the group they are now calling The Cut.

With AEW looking to establish their newest faction, there could be more stars about to join this growing unit in the coming weeks and months.

Here are four AEW stars to potentially join The Cut.

Roderick Strong

Despite his initial hesitation, Roderick Strong officially joined The Conglomeration earlier this year.

This led to initial success when Strong, Kyle O’Reilly and Orange Cassidy captured the AEW World Trios Championships.

After losing the gold and not being on the winning ways in consecutive matches, Strong started to grow frustration with his current stablemates.

While he could now be on the same side of his wife Marina Shafir with Conglomeration and Death Riders having similar enemies, Strong might have enough of OC and O’Reilly, leading to a betrayal that sees him joining The Cut down the line.

Katsuyori Shibata

On the October 24 episode of AEW Collision, Jay White talked about his history with David Finlay and how their careers have been connected to one another since their time in the New Japan dojo.

In The Last Outfit faction, there are various former NJPW dojo alumni with Juice Robinson and Clark Connors as well.

Another alum on the AEW roster is Katsuyori Shibata, who has even served as a trainer at the New Japan LA dojo as well.

Despite his affiliation with The Opps, Shibata could turn on his current unit and want to be part of something new like The Cut.

Zayda Steel

Another AEW star who is part of a faction already that might join The Cut is Zayda Steel.

The 23 year old signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2026 and has since joined SkyFlight.

While she has received plenty of guidance from Christopher Daniels, Steel has not gained a ton of success alongside Top Flight and Scorpio Sky.

Feeling the need for a change of scenery, Steel might be better suited to join The Cut and help them have a female presence to counteract Marina Shafir in The Death Riders.

Nick Wayne

For those who do not know, Nick Wayne has beaten Chris Jericho twice.

Coming off the heels of his two victories over the first AEW World Champion, Wayne has riding a wave of momentum with his confidence going through the roof.

“The Prodigy” is only 21 years old and has his entire career ahead of him, making him an ideal addition to just about any stable in All Elite Wrestling right now.

Wanting someone seen as the future on their side, Wayne could become the crown jewel for a faction like The Cut in a major way.
