Changes to WWE Crown Jewel 2026: Three major pivots we could see before November 7

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is now less than two weeks away and despite increasing uncertainty about the event, the card is coming together nicely.

We will certainly see new matches added to the card before WWE make the trip to Riyadh, but we could also see some alterations made to what has already been announced for November 7.

Here are three major changes we could see made to Crown Jewel 2026:

Location changed from Riyadh to a venue in the United States

WWE Crown Jewel 2025 was the only time in the event’s history where it did not take place in Saudi Arabia, with Perth, Australia hosting instead.

As we alluded to in the intro, the number one talking point heading into Crown Jewel 2026 has been whether the event will actually be taking place in Riyadh, or be moved to a venue in the United States.

Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport was targeted by Houthi missile strikes earlier this month which resulted in the deaths of at least 13 people and over 300 injuries.

Two more people are said to have died following another attack on Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport on Thursday (October 22), and the US Embassy is currently advising US citizens to reconsider travelling to the country despite King Khalid International Airport now being back open.

Despite the potential threat of travelling to Riyadh and hosting large scale event, TKO CEO’s Ari Emanuel has confirmed that Crown Jewel is not currently planned for an alternative location, but that could still potentially change depending on what happens between now and the week of November 7.

A backup city in the US is reportedly lined up should Crown Jewel need to be moved, so we could still see WWE do the right thing and announce a change of location.

Nikki Bella captures WWE Women’s Championship

After successfully defending her WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez on SmackDown, Chelsea Green will have to jump over one last hurdle before she can face off against Liv Morgan in her Women’s Crown Jewel Championship match on November 7.

Nikki Bella’s persistence in her pursuit of Green will soon pay off when she gets a shot at the WWE Women’s Championship on the October 30 episode of SmackDown.

Bella winning that match will obviously mean that she would then take Green’s place at Crown Jewel and face Liv Morgan at the event. WWE did a heel vs. heel match for the Women’s Crown Jewel Title match back in 2024 when Morgan faced off with Nia Jax, and history could repeat itself this year.

Penta cashes in on Sami Zayn before Roman Reigns match

Penta’s Money in the Bank plans are anyone’s guess as he seemingly has eyes on both Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship and Sami Zayn’s Undisputed WWE Title.

While most fans would concur that Penta should target Zayn if he wants to actually win his first world title, Penta does have more personal motivation to challenge “The OTC’ given that he failed to dethrone him back on the September 14 WWE Raw in Mexico City.

Although he can only cash in once, there is one way Penta could get his cake and eat it too: by using his briefcase to take the Undisputed WWE Title before Crown Jewel and then earning his win over Reigns in the subsequent Men’s Crown Jewel Championship match on November 7.
