A former WWE star has pitched themselves as a replacement for a name who has just announced their departure from the company.
Ava has announced her exit from WWE, with the NXT General Manager confirming that her appearance on the January 27 show was her last under contract with the company.
With NXT now without an on-screen authority figure, a former WWE star has pitched herself for this role.
Following Ava’s departure announcement, Shayna Baszler took to Twitter to share a GIF pointing at herself.
She captioned her post:
Oh? @WWENXT needs a new GM
While Shayna Baszler departed WWE in July, she has maintained a good relationship with WWE.
Baszler notably worked backstage during her non-compete period, and appeared at NXT Homecoming in September.
The Queen of Spades previously revealed how quickly this TV return appearance came together.
Shayna Baszler recently confirmed that she’s not under contract with the company, but will be guest coaching when the opportunity comes.
