A WWE star has slammed an unexpected accolade bestowed upon them by the recently returned Matt Cardona.
Having previously featured in the Last Time is Now Tournament as Zack Ryder, Matt Cardona made an official return to WWE on January 2.
Cardona’s first opponent under his new deal was Kit Wilson, who has been on a quest to weed out toxic masculinity in WWE.
Unfortunately, for Wilson, he met with a loss at the hands of Cardona, who went on to mock the star further on Twitter.
Cardona recently shared a photo holding a Kit Wilson action figure, noting that he’s taking a special place on a specific shelf, with his Major Wrestling Figure Podcast account tweeting:
“Some wrestlers have a “people I’ve worked with” shelf.
“Not @TheMattCardona! He has a “people I’ve beat in my debut” shelf!
“@KitWilson_PD is the first one going up on that shelf! Is that considered toxic?”
Wilson would assess the toxicity of being the first WWE star on the “people I’ve beat in my debut” shelf, with a short video response in which he clearly states:
“YOU. ARE. TOXIC.”
A two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, Wilson recently shared a heartfelt message to his partner, Elton Prince, who recently underwent neck surgery.
