Former WWE Star Confirms ‘Brief Conversation’ With AEW

Former WWE star Shelton Benjamin has commented on his wrestling future, revealing that he has talked with AEW.

With Shelton Benjamin let go from his WWE contract in September 2023, there was a lot of speculation about the WWE veteran’s next move.

It was initially reported in March that Benjamin and AEW had had talks about the possibility of him appearing for the company.

Benjamin has now confirmed that he had a “brief conversation” with AEW.

Appearing on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Benjamin said:

“I had a brief conversation with AEW, that hasn’t really borne fruit yet. But I’m still open. TNA I haven’t spoken with yet. I’m more than willing to work with them. I haven’t talked to them.

“I know MLW reached out. So you know, I’ve been presented with options. I just haven’t found something that I’m satisfied with.”
