There was another development on WWE SmackDown in the potential split of Bloodline members Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
Solo Sikoa was off TV for a number of weeks after he lost the Tribal Combat match to Roman Reigns on the WWE Raw Netflix premiere on January 6.
While Sikoa was away, Jacob Fatu broke out in a big way with Tama Tonga backing him up, rather than the two of them backing up Sikoa.
After Sikoa came back a couple of weeks ago, Fatu demanded answers as to where he’d been, and Sikoa has seemingly been trying to make amends ever since.
Following a couple of ‘accidental’ moments the past couple of weeks with one hitting the other, there was another backstage meeting between Sikoa and Fatu on tonight’s February 28 SmackDown.
Sikoa was scheduled to face Andrade in a United States Championship #1 contender tournament tonight, but instead, offered the spot to Fatu to show how much he loves Fatu.
Fatu went on to win the match, and later tonight will compete in a three-way against LA Knight and Carmelo Hayes, with the three-way winner becoming #1 contender for Shinsuke Nakamura‘s WWE United States Championship.
The three-way was won by Knight, who essentially stole the pin from Jacob Fatu right at the end after Fatu landed his moonsault finisher on Hayes.
