Two WWE Stars Return After Several Months Away

Two WWE stars made their returns to action after several months away during tonight’s AAA TripleMania XXXIII event in Mexico City.

Tonight’s show has a big WWE presence, with talent from Raw, SmackDown and NXT all over the card.

However, there were some unannounced main roster surprises as well in the Copa Bardahl match that kicked off the night.

The Copa Bardahl match is similar to a Royal Rumble, but eliminations can occur not only by going over the top rope, but also by pinfall and submission.

Among the surprise WWE entrants in the Copa Bardahl were LWO members Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, but they weren’t the only ones.

Entering at #9 was WWE Raw star Otis, who had been out of action and off TV since a match against Rusev on Raw in early May.

Otis had some fun moments in the match, such as teaming up and almost getting romatically involved with Pimpinela Escarlata – and also ultimately being eliminated by Microman.

Speaking of Microman, he had a confrontation with another surprise entrant from WWE, Omos.

Omos hasn’t officially wrestled since January, when he was on excursion in Pro Wrestling NOAH that saw him become a tag team champion with Jack Morris.

WWE brought him back to America at the end of January, but he still hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since May 2023.

It was Omos who ultimately won the 2025 Copa Bardahl match, last eliminating La Parka who had entered at #1.
