A TNA Wrestling star has addressed costing a WWE name a #1 contender’s match, ahead of a potential clash.
While Trick Williams is currently the reigning TNA World Champion, the NXT star competed for an opportunity at another championship on NXT, facing Je’Von Evans in a NXT Championship #1 contender’s bout on the August 19 NXT show.
Evans was ultimately victorious, capitalising after TNA Wrestling’s Mike Santana appeared on the balcony, distracting Trick Williams.
Santana has now taken to Twitter to comment on his NXT appearance. With Trick Williams still in his crosshairs, Santana wrote:
TRICK. SHOT. 😎
Santana notably challenged for Trick Williams’ TNA World Championship on the June 3 NXT episode, ultimately coming up short.
He again challenged for the gold at TNA Slammiversary on July 20, in a three-way match which also featured Joe Hendry.
