A spoiler on The Rock’s plans for his appearance on tonight’s WWE SmackDown show in New Orleans amid WrestleMania speculation.
Tonight’s episode of SmackDown is set to take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the wrestling world is full of excitement following the breaking news last night that The Rock would be appearing on the show.
New Orleans was the reported favourite to host next year’s WrestleMania 42 event, with an announcement set to be made some time before this year’s WrestleMania 41 event in Las Vegas.
However, per PWInsider, the announcement of the WrestleMania 42 location won’t be a mystery much longer, as The Rock will be announcing that WrestleMania 42 will take place at the Superdome in New Orleans next year.
There has been speculation about what else Rock may do during his appearance on the show, but the announcement for New Orleans hosting WrestleMania next year will ‘100%’ be happening.
The company is also planning a SmackDown post-show press conference after SmackDown, and while Rock hasn’t been confirmed to be a part of it, one would assume he would following his appearance on tonight’s show.
The involvement of The Rock was something that literally came about last night, and internally the company has shifted plans to pivot for his appearance.
