There has been an update on the status of a rumoured new member of WWE’s Bloodline faction following today’s NJPW show.
The Bloodline has continued to evolve in recent months, with Solo Sikoa now acting as the ‘Head of the Table’, leading to the WWE debuts of the Guerrillas of Destiny, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
Tama and Tonga are the sons of Haku, though they aren’t the only sons of Haku currently wrestling, as NJPW star Hikuleo is also a son of Haku.
It was reported earlier this year that Hikuleo’s contract with NJPW was set to run into June, and an interesting update took place following today’s NJPW Dominion show.
Hikuleo and partner El Phantasmo were unsuccessful in the IWGP World Tag Team and NJPW STRONG Tag Team winners take all match, being the first team eliminated by eventual winner TMDK.
After the show, a rather interesting moment took place that saw Hikuleo hug ELP and Jado, before walking out of the press conference.
Many have speculated that today could have been Hikuleo’s final match in NJPW, with WWE reportedly having interest in him as far back as last January, when the company was under an unofficial hiring freeze.
We will provide any updates on Hikuleo’s status as they become available.
