An NXT star is at tonight’s March 23 episode of WWE Raw taking place at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
It’s regular practice for WWE to hold pre-show matches before Raw and SmackDown, some of which are taped for weekly YouTube show Main Event.
Sometimes these Main Event matches feature talent from NXT, giving them something of a test run in front of a main roster audience, although it doesn’t necessarily mean a call-up is imminent.
Tonight’s Main Event match did see an NXT star in action in the form of Brooks Jensen, who faced Dragon Lee.
Jensen has been with NXT since 2021 and is the son of former WWE star Bull Buchanan.
Tonight, Jensen paid tribute to Midnight Express member Dennis Condrey – who passed away a few days ago – with the initials ‘MX DC’ on his wrist tape.
Jensen had also worn the name Dennis Condrey on his wrist tape at NXT live events this past weekend.
What Should WWE Do With Brooks Jensen
As NXT was building up the new Birthright stable, it looked like Jensen may have been a likely addition to that group as the son of the aforementioned Bull Buchanan – especially after he teamed with Lexis King at some NXT live events.
However, the faction is already a decent size and seems to be completed without Jensen at this point.
Jensen is a rare breed of talent in the PC when it comes to his passion for the history of pro-wrestling, and has been described by his trainers at times as an 80s wrestling veteran in the body of a 20 year old.
He has been working Evolve as of late, but WWE really should get him on NXT TV regularly in some capacity.
He hasn’t been on TV since he was kicked out of The Culling in June 2025, not far off a year ago.
That was after he’d been appearing regularly since the very first episode of the NXT 2.0 reboot in 2021.
Another WWE Raw Pre-Show Match
There was another pre-show match before Raw as well, although this one didn’t look to be taped for Main Event, as Royce Keys defeated Rayo Americano (Pete Dunne).
Keys has regularly been in action in pre-show matches before both Raw and SmackDown recently, none of which have aired on Main Event.
