A major WWE vs. TNA Wrestling stipulation match has now been officially confirmed, with Santino Marella making an announcement after last night’s Final Resolution pay-per-view.
After co-existing peacefully for the most part throughout 2025, several stars in the WWE NXT locker room began waging war on TNA on the November 14 episode of iMPACT, something that has continued in the weeks that have followed.
Last night’s TNA Final Resolution PPV saw several WWE NXT vs. TNA matches take place, with TNA’s stars coming out on top in all but one of them.
Crucially, WWE NXT’s sole win on the night was also in a title match, as Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo defeated Steve Maclin to become the new TNA International Champion.
The post match saw a shocking scene as Stacks knocked out his own future father-in-law Santino Marella, with this leading to a major announcement being made for a WWE vs. TNA match in two weeks time.
In a social media exclusive, Santino announced that Team TNA will take on Team NXT in a Steel Cage Match in two weeks time, with the teams for bout being announced next week.
He said:
“Now, I’ve had enough! You put your hands on me the Director of Authority, guess what? You got my attention. Two weeks from today we’re going to settle this like real men. No more running around, no more hiding in the shadows, no more being bitches.
“We’re going to settle this, Team TNA against Team NXT in a Steel Cage.
“I’m gonna call Ava and this week we’re gonna announce the teams and on iMPACT we’re gonna get ready. And trust in me when I tell you this, Team TNA we’re going to be danger animals.”

Former TNA World Champion Mike Santana, who lost his gold as a result of the WWE NXT invaders, then approached Marella and told him:
“You know what to do”
To which Marella responded:
“I know exactly what to do. You messed up”
