Gunther Gets Special Message From Roberto Baggio, Wants Him To Attend WWE Clash In Italy: ‘I’ve Got To Talk To Our People’

WWE star Gunther got a special message from Italian football legend Roberto Baggio ahead of Clash In Italy.

Gunther made the move over to the SmackDown brand following WrestleMania 42, where he was granted a match for the Undisputed WWE Championship as his favor from Paul Heyman for taking out Seth Rollins ahead of WrestleMania.

Gunther will challenge Cody Rhodes for the title in Turin at WWE Clash In Italy this Sunday, and he was granted a special message from an Italian legend ahead of the show.

Gunther Gets Message From Roberto Baggio Ahead Of WWE Clash In Italy

Speaking on Netflix Italia, Gunther was asked which Italian football player was his favourite, to which Gunther named Roberto Baggio, citing the 1994 World Cup as the first World Cup he remembers watching as a fan.

Gunther has regularly been seen working out in Baggio’s Italy shirts, with Baggio himself even commenting on Gunther’s photos wearing the shirt, as you can see in the photo below.

The hosts of Netflix Italia had a special surprise for Gunther at the end of the interview, with that being a message filmed by Baggio, wishing him luck at Clash In Italy.

He said:

“Hi Gunther, it’s Roby. I saw the pictures of you wearing my jersey during training. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I hope all of this brings you good luck for Clash In Italy, and of course for your life in general. Big hug, see you soon, ciao!”
