A former WWE star is returning to the company with a match announced for an upcoming NXT premium live event.
At TNA Wrestling Slammiversary last month, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne defeated Masha Slamovich to win the TNA Knockouts Championship and become double champion.
Jayne has since retained her title against Ash By Elegance – formerly known as Dana Brooke in WWE – on TNA Impact, but their story isn’t finished quite yet.
During tonight’s August 12 episode of WWE NXT, Ava announced a TNA Knockouts Title defense for Jayne at the upcoming Heatwave PLE on August 24.
At that event, Jayne will defend her title in a three-way against Ash By Elegance and Masha Slamovich.
As something of a preview to that, next week’s episode of NXT will see Jayne team with her Fatal Influence teammates Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx in a six-woman tag match against Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance and M By Elegance – collectively known as the Elegance Brand.
This will be Ash By Elegance’s first match in WWE or NXT since September 2023, having been released that month.
She has made a couple of NXT crossover appearances since then via the TNA partnership, but hasn’t had an actual match on WWE programming since her release.
