WWE’s AJ Styles has reacted to a TNA Wrestling champion using the Styles Clash during their match at last night’s TNA Emergence event.
Former TNA World Champion AJ Styles made his return to TNA television back at the Slammiversary pay-per-view, where he came to the ring following Leon Slater’s X-Division Championship victory over Moose.
Styles came to the ring with his iconic TNA ‘Get Ready To Fly’ theme song, where he would go on to praise Slater as the future of the X-Division following his victory, a division that AJ was a key part of during his career in TNA.
Slater was in action on last night’s TNA Emergence pay-per-view event, where he defended his title against Cedric Alexander on the show.
During the match, Slater would call back to AJ’s appearance at Slammiversary, with him hitting the Styles Clash on Cedric, as you can see below.
This prompted a response from AJ, who reacted to the move on Twitter, simply writing:
😏Slater Clash!!
AJ recently challenged Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam in New Jersey, with Dominik managing to keep hold of the title.
