An AEW star made reference to her match with WWE’s Blake Monroe ahead of a big title match at AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming.
This Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite will see the conclusion of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Title tournament, with the Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) taking on the Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron).
Ahead of the match, Mina Shirakawa took to Twitter to do some reflection on last year’s Winter is Coming, an event that saw her challenge WWE’s Blake Monroe (fka Mariah May) for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Mina wrote:
Last year’s #WinterIsComing broke my heart. Losing a best friend shattered me.
This year, I want to leave the ring smiling with Toni, the one I love.

In a follow up post (translated via Google), Mina commented more on her match with Monroe, saying her heart throbs thinking about the match:
It’s finally Wednesday, the final match of the tag tournament.
When I remember last year, my heart throbs. A year goes by so quickly.
On Wednesday, Tony and I will leave the ring with smiles on our faces.
And with our belts.
Monroe departed AEW in May 2025, with her final match in the company being her loss to Toni Storm in their ‘Hollywood Ending Match at AEW Revolution.
The English star signed with WWE weeks after her AEW exit, and currently holds the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
いよいよ水曜日、タッグトーナメントの決勝戦だ。
去年の事を思い出すと、心がズキズキする。1年て早いね。
水曜日はトニーと笑顔でリングを降りる。
ベルトと一緒にね。#AEWDynamite https://t.co/b20nJPYTg9
