A current AAA wrestling star has reacted to their recent WWE championship match on a WWE premium live event.
The first WWE x AAA Worlds Collide show took place earlier this month in Los Angeles, with a number of AAA stars featured on the show.
Among those names was Octagon Jr, who kicked off the night in Trios action, where he teamed with Mr Iguana and Aero Star to defeat Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro and Lince Dorado.
Following his victory, WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio jumped the barricade, before he and Octagon got into a brawl.
The brawl led to a match being announced for Dominik’s Intercontinental Championship between the two at Money In The Bank, the first main roster WWE premium live event to feature a AAA wrestler.
While Octagon ended up coming up short, he has said that he hopes to make his way back to WWE in the future.
Speaking to ropebreakx on Tik Tok, he said:
“… I don’t expect to see him (Dominik Mysterio) very soon, I don’t know, I loved the match. It wasn’t the result I wanted, but my triumph that night was facing him. So next time I’ll be calmer. My emotions were at 1000%, but next time I think we’ll see what happens.
“I hope they (WWE) call me again. I can’t tell you if yes or no, or against whom, but I’m ready, I’m preparing myself every day.”
