A celebrity guest wishes he had taken a bump during his WWE SmackDown appearance, though doubted it would’ve been cleared.
In June 2024, Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Brunson stepped into the ring during the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match qualifier between LA Knight, Logan Paul and Santos Escobar.
Haliburton escorted Logan Paul to the ring for the match and would attempt to furnish the influencer with brass knuckles, only to be stopped by Brunson.
The Indiana Pacers All Star guard has now spoken about that appearance, revealing he would have liked to take a bump although doubted the NBA would’ve cleared it.
Speaking on Raw Recap, Haliburton opened up about being a heel and the missed opportunity, saying:
“I am fully understanding that we are going into The Garden and I am a full heel. There’s no playing the middle, there’s none of that, I am the heel and I’m leaning into it.
“It’s a lot of fun for me when I go to The Garden or just play anywhere to have that reputation or whatever, it’s a lot of fun. I view basketball as that sometimes, when I play at home, I’m more of a face, when I’m on the road, I’m a heel, it’s just how life is.
“I was really excited about getting to play the heel in The Garden because I’ve always wanted to do something with WWE. It’s always been a dream of mine. I would love to take a bump or something but obviously, the league is not going for that, they are not letting that happen.”

Haliburton has previously revealed he wanted to be involved in the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble, but suggested that Triple H was likely “scared” to put him in mid-season.
The Miz has recently called out Haliburton, calling for a match after the basketball star was spotted “stealing” his gimmick.
