WWE Star Doesn’t Think Tag Team Was Meant To Last This Long

A WWE star has admitted that they don’t think they were supposed to be teaming with their current tag-team partner for this long.

Despite having completely different vibest when first coming together, Sol Ruca and ZARIA have been regularly teaming together for almost seven months, since December 2024.

With Sol Ruca and ZARIA set to compete in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship four-way at Evolution, one day after Ruca defends her NXT Women’s North American Championship against Izzi Dame at Great American Bash, Sol Ruca has shared her mindset heading into this weekend, telling the Masked Man Show:

“Honestly, I’m just thinking one match at a time, one day at a time. Just defended my Speed Title. That was one of ‘em, got that one done. Now it’s time to focus on the North American Championship against Izzi Dame.

“That one is going to be interesting. I know we are a little bit outnumbered. ZARIA’s gonna be out there with me but, Izzi’s got her whole Culling family and Tatum (Paxley) so, not only am I trying to defeat Izzi, I’m also trying to pretty much defeat The Culling because they definitely love to cheat.

“I’m just gonna say that. But I know I’ll have ZARIA on the outside but, that’s going to be an interesting one. We’ll see how that goes and then, onto Evolution. ZARIA and I are definitely extremely nervous just being in the ring with such incredible vets, and also, her and I have never had a match like this.

“We’ve never been in a four-way tag match so, a little bit out of our element. But, I thrive under pressure so, I’m excited.”

Noting that she doesn’t think she and ZARIA were supposed to be a team for this long, Ruca added:

“There’s so many things that happen just because of social media posts. ZARIA and I, I don’t think we were supposed to be tagging this long.

“But, we made a post and it kind of went viral and people loved it and now we’ve been stuck together for the past few months.”

NXT The Great American Bash will take place on Saturday, July 12, and WWE Evolution will air on Sunday, July 13.
