A WWE star has captured a championship from another WWE star following an injury to a former champion tonight.
Ethan Page and Chelsea Green have reigned as the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions since November 2, defeating Mr Iguana and La Hiedra for the belts.
Chelsea and Ethan were set to defend the titles on tonight’s AAA on FOX show against the duo of Mr Iguana and Lola Vice, but the match ended up being changed after Chelsea announced an injury to her foot, suffered during her match on last night’s SmackDown.
La Hiedra would end up stepping in for Chelsea, teaming with Page against Vice and Iguana in the match.
Lola Vice would end up scoring the win over La Hiedra, winning the Mixed Tag Team Championship for herself and Mr Iguana and ending Page and Chelsea’s run with the titles.
The AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship marks Lola Vice’s first championship victory of her career, with her coming up short in an attempt to win the North American Women’s Championship on this week’s NXT show.
Both Mr Iguana and Lola Vice appeared in their respective 2026 Royal Rumble matches.
