A WWE star could be set to make their return to TV at this Friday’s SmackDown in Brooklyn, NY (October 25) following a six month absence.
The April 22 edition of Monday Night Raw was the last time we saw Shinsuke Nakamura compete on WWE TV, but that could be soon about to change according to a new update on the Japanese star.
PWInsider Elite are reporting (via Wrestlingnews.co) that Nakamura is expected to be at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY for this Friday’s SmackDown.
Due to the following week’s trip to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on November 2, Friday’s SmackDown will be a double taping.
This means that there is a chance we could see Nakamura make his return on the show that airs this Friday, or on the following week’s show on November 1.
It is also worth noting that Nakamura may instead appear in a non-televised match rather than appearing on TV, as despite the 44-year-old’s absence from TV throughout the last six months, he has continued to compete on WWE’s live event circuit.
Nakamura was drafted to SmackDown from Raw in May, but only made a single appearance via a vignette shortly after the move.
WrestleTalk will provide further update on Nakamura’s return as/when more information is available.
