An injured WWE star has revealed he’s “getting close” to a return to the ring, but won’t be at Elimination Chamber 2026.
It has now been almost five months since Seth Rollins suffered a torn rotator cuff during a match with Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel 2025.
While his return has seemingly been teased via the continued appearances of a masked individual using Rollins’ moves, it appears as if the former World Heavyweight Champion is not quite fit and ready to return.
During an appearance on ESPN First Take, Rollins confirmed his status for this weekend’s PLE:
“No, I will not be able to do anything this weekend but we’re getting close. But look, I can move it around, it’s not in a sling anymore it’s feeling good.
“It was in October when I got the surgery so if you look at the timeline we’re getting close, we’re getting close, we’re not all the way there but we’re getting close guys.”

While he may not be able to return at the event itself, Rollins did back WWE’s rising stars Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams to potentially pull off a win inside the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match.
During an appearance on ESPN Get Up, Rollins specifically addressed his WrestleMania 42 status – click here for full details.
