A WWE star has commented after making his return in front of the crowd after almost a year out of action due to injury.

This week’s episode of NXT made headlines for the TNA invasion angle and the write-off of Jazmyn Nyx, but there was a notable moment before the show went on air as well.

At the WWE Performance Center before NXT began, Malik Blade made his return to the PC in front of the live crowd.

Blade had been out of action due to an injury since October 2024, last wrestling on Level Up against Tavion Heights.

He didn’t wrestle on Tuesday, but it was his first time back in front of the crowd, and he has since tweeted about the moment, writing:

I did not sleep last night and I didn’t even wrestle. The adrenaline is real & the energy of the NXT crowd is unmatched. I’m sooo readyyyy!!!!!!!

Blade’s injury came at a time when his tag team partner Edris Enofe had already been injured for a while – out of action from August 2024 to March 2025.

While Blade has remained absent, Enofe has been working on WWE Evolve since his return in March. It remains to be seen if they’ll be paired back together, as Enofe has had something of a rebrand on Evolve.
