A top WWE star has claimed that he doesn’t believe in Joe Hendry ahead of tonight’s NXT No Mercy premium live event.
TNA’s Joe Hendry has been arguably the biggest beneficiary of the ongoing partnership between WWE NXT and TNA, being featured heavily on both shows in recent months.
Hendry is set to make history at tonight’s NXT No Mercy show when he becomes the first TNA wrestler to main event a WWE premium live event, challenging Ethan Page for the NXT Championship.
Over the past few weeks, many WWE stars have declared their belief in Joe Hendry following his rise, but one current top WWE star has claimed that he is not a believer.
Speaking to Gorilla Position, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther was asked if he believed in Joe Hendry ahead of his upcoming title match.
Gunther simply said:
“No I don’t think so.”
Gunther made the first defence of his World Heavyweight Championship at last night’s WWE Bash In Berlin event, defeating Randy Orton in the show’s main event.
It’s a great shame but it’s official… WWE World Champion @Gunther_AUT does 𝗡𝗢𝗧 believe in @joehendry. #NXTNoMercy pic.twitter.com/y9nSdfA83W
